ETFs are allowed now. Unfortunately, no support for automated rebalancing yet as well as no coverage (at least, at the present time) for 401(k) accounts.
Awesome. So how do the automatic ETF purchases work in practice? For instance, what time of the day are they executed?

I'm less concerned about rebalancing in a taxable account.

Yes, they are treated as available cash and auto-liquidated to settle debits.
For FZEXX, after making an initial purchase for $25k, is there a minimim balance that needs to be maintained?

Re: Fidelity as a one stop shop

Not sure if everyone is aware, or if this was discussed up thread and I missed it, but the new Fid-Folio feature set is awesome! They rolled it out earlier this year and have been adding features, and now have the ability to add ETFs to your basket. So if you take their current feature set: Make a basket of ETFs, by percentage, and you can place market orders and it automatically distributes it to each by your pre-specified percentage. And add what they've confirmed are on the roadmap for 2023: - Auto investing into your basket - Dynamic rebalancing where your new dollars go towards underweight investments (Like M1) You'd then have everything I've ever wanted at Fidelity. My only complaint as been lack of automated ETF investing, but that ...

My wife and I have seven figures in our combined 401(k)’s, plus I will receive a six-figure, inflation-adjusted pension when I retire in about 25 years. I think we are done contributing above the match (and even that will probably go to the Roth option moving forward), since we view this mostly as our child’s inheritance. We are going to focus on growing taxable to have the flexibility to spend on ourselves at the time of our choosing.

Okay, I've edited this post like 3 time or more. First off, the old method in the OP works again. I think it just "reset" for the new year and should work except today you can't get the previous close to calculate the % change. I expect that to work tomorrow. But to avoid that now and next year there is the below code which leverages the previous work done but solves for the "order of the rows" problem and needing to count to find the most recent date. Pretty slick, google lets you use SQL query commands to manipulate the data in-cell. You will also want to work with a landscape architect to make sure your landscaping choices are salt and drought tolerant. The latter is mostly for cost, because irrigation water will be expensive and you can't drill a well that close to the ocean. Many plants are very unhappy getting hit with salt spray, and even a fog off the ocean will contain enough salt to affect them. Interestingly, this is one of the few places on the coast where a well is not only allowed, but required because of no municipal water, even though the lines are only a few blocks away. That said, they are planning to add municipal water and sewer within the next few years, prior to the planned completion of the house. As far as landscaping, I'm planning to go all natur...

I have this fund in my taxable account for sheer simplicity. Its my only taxable fund that I have. My monthly contribution get split into domestic and international funds in one deposit. I don't have to think about rebalancing between separate intl and domestic funds to get a similar approximation as this fund. I hardly even log into my account that often. Its set and go. The less tinkering I do, the better outcomes for me. I am losing the foreign tax credit and potential tax loss harvesting opportunities which would have me have multiple funds as TLH partners which defeats my goal of simplicity of having 1 taxable account. I do the same thing, and we are in one of the highest tax brackets. I don’t lose sleep over the comparative tax drag.

For true watch nerds, I say first generation Datograph. That chronograph movement is something to behold. And you get the useful big date complication on the front, along with a superbly well balanced dial.

I received a letter two weeks ago saying that they planned to implement it (for me at least) on June 18: On June 18, 2020, only HSA funds in excess of $1,000 in your HSA Bank cash account can be transferred to your investment account. If you utilize Auto-Sweep and your minimum threshold is set below $1,000, you will need to adjust the amount to $1,000 or more. If no action is taken by June 18, the minimum threshold will default to $1,000. VT and funds to approximate VT where it is not available.

Thank you Cash
Bob
This is using the Dashlane browser extension for the Google Chrome browser on any website.

Re: Getting started with Dashlane

I've been using Dashlane for about a year now and like it, primarly because my spouse and I can share an account that I keep updated with all of our passwords. The only annoyance for me is that I can't figure out how to get Dashlane to store login credentials for a website with just the Chrome browser extension. Instead, the extension redirects me to the Dashlane application, and then I have to manually enter the website, login, and password.

I already feel dirty for having expended the time & energy to type this, 1.X% APY, just not worth the hassle of messing with my setup (happens to be with Fidelity, I'm a "one stop shop" situation, but it really wouldn't matter if I was anywhere else other than the usual suspects, not worth it to MOVE, whether it's to Marcus, Ally, or that super obscure credit union w/ a 1990's website).
I agree. I assume most of the people yield chasing either have very large sums of cash and rely on said cash for income, or they just enjoy playing the game.

Re: Fidelity Baskets

After reading couple things about it on BHs, i wanted to check on basket trading at Fidelity. It seems one can create a basket of stocks/ETFs/MFs and allocate percentages/dollars to them. I think what is missing is it doesn't allow fractional share trading. So if I were to buy a basket of (say) VTI/BND it would not do this in fractional shares, to my understanding. I would imagine this wouldn't be ideal even for people buying individual stocks? Anyone using basket trading at Fidelity and happy with it?
I posted about my experience with basket trading here:

Good idea but needs better implementation.

Re: HSA with HSA Bank/TDA ?

^ Same for me and no fees. But different companies have different arrangements with HSA Bank.
