Re: Pregnant with first baby, best book?

Congratulations: Stay the Course!!
I am sure you worked hard at getting this child born.
If this turns out to be a boy, please listen to this great country song by Brad Paisley"Anything like me"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P6jUCq-6 ... re=related
It is a great daddy's song about his new son.

I was raised playing classical music on the Piano- but now I love country music. Once you listen to this song- if you have a boy on the way, you might begin to like country music like me.

Good luck and lucky you......

Re: NOLA Thanksgiving

Welcome to New Orleans.
In addition to that fine Commander's Palace restaurant, you should try Galatoire's Restaurant on Burbon Street. It is excellent and I have been fortunate enough to dine there many times.

Enjoy the visit.,.....

Not me. When the market goes down to 1,000 from 10,000 today, I will buy a controlling interest in Exxon with the cash in my wallet and then appoint myself CEO. It should be fun......

Metry here too. Please join me in hoping we don't see oil wash up soon on Lake Pontchartrain. I have a great view of the lake- so far, still a lake.

Does anyone know of a tax calculator web site that can help us figure out the incremental taxes due under these new tax proposals? If so, would you please provide a link?

Thanks

Vanguard Web Site Today

Did anyone log in recently? I just did and the layout is bizarre and TOTALLY different looking. I am going to call Vanguard this morning to make sure that this was not some fake web site I was directed to.
Please check..

Ron- I don't understand the question. I am planning on drawing SS at 70.5. If 70 is the max out date, then I will draw it then. Is that what you are asking??

Cheers......

I am turning 60 soon and think about what's going to happen with SS. In my financial plan I assume that I will draw SS at 70.5 and also assume that I will be cut back by 20% of what had been promised. I also assume a punitive higher tax rate in the future.
The 70 year start of my SS is not locked in stone. I will continue to evaluate and may change my mind on when to start, based upon developments in Washington.
