I'm in the same situation, there was a small line about this: You should be able to correct this plan error using the Self-correction Program (SCP) with no fees. How does that work? Does that avoid the fees? The authors post seems to imply that one must pay the excise tax but this line was thrown in...

Helps to not put shirt on right after applying anything to the pits. Let it dry out some, if you do it right after shower it goes from pits to the shirt and causes stains.

Contractors are not hired by the company. They are not employees. It would be very legally shaky- that being said it's still a risk. I would get it in writing as well. This seems like an Avis problem not a Chase problem as the card was not used fraudulently. The card was used by mistake by Avis. Chase should not be on the hook for Avis's error. AKA fraud. Did the user give Avis the right to charge the card? It's fraud until the issue is resolved as an error. Frau...

Doesn't seem that unrealistic. Would possibly be a little pay bump but if you're single (e.g. no major health insurance costs) then it would be close to comparable. Also depends how you value SE 401k deductions as well as that can be quite huge benefit.

How long are you staying at your destination? If it's short renting a car at home is very cost effective. Gas mileage alone might pay for the rental. Plenty of unlimited miles if you pickup and drop off at the same location.
