Re: Where are you finding refinance rate of <2.5%?

Getting ready to buy another house in the next couple of months and think I'm going to go with box home loans. Just got off the phone with them and I can get a 1.9% on a 15 yr here in Texas. I have to pay some but its an incredible deal. Be careful, Box is swamped and continues to miss deadlines. I...

Re: Where are you finding refinance rate of <2.5%?

I am asking for your opinion if I should bother getting into the refinance game. House value: approximately 500k Loan remaining: $190k at 2.875%, 15 year note State: TX Likely to live in the current house for another 3 years. I have seen some people getting <2.5% rate with no fees in the refinance ...

Re: Pull Out Money From 401k to Buy New Home

I will provide a counter-point - hope it helps. I did take out 50K for my mortgage. I figured that I am paying interest to myself - and I really did not want to pay PMI - and my job was pretty secure. My 401K provider did not charge any fees for the process - the interest rate was steep - but again...

Re: Pull Out Money From 401k to Buy New Home

Thanks for the feedback. Job is pretty secure. Will likely make a good amount more money in the next year as well. I would never usually consider a 401k loan or withdrawal outside of the really unique benefits that the Cares Act made possible for this year. I could withdrawal the funds penalty free,...

Pull Out Money From 401k to Buy New Home

So I have been running the numbers non-stop on my situation and just want to get some other opinions. Current house is worth $310k. I have about $130k equity in it. I just refinanced it to a 2.75% 30 year loan that makes the total payment $1350 and I can rent it out easily for $2.4k a month. With th...

Re: Refinance Mega Thread

Closing tomorrow on a 30 year at 2.75% with provident lending. Overall, pretty easy to work with. Only costing me $77 dollars out of pocket. I feel good about the terms as finding good refi rates in Texas has been challenging.

Re: Refinance Mega Thread

Been super helpful to follow along on this thread. Just curious if anyone has been able to do a cash out refi and then turn around and refi again right after that. Curious of the rates you have been able to get and if you ran into any speed bumps in trying to do that. Thanks.
