Re: Automatic investing on Vanguard

So the fund will keep on adjusting for 7 years after the stated date. The composition will match Target Retirement Income Fund after that. I assume Vanguard would merge the fund to Target Retirement Income once the adjustments have completed.

Re: Automatic investing on Vanguard

I helped my girlfriend get the 2050 Vanguard Target Date Fund. What happens to this fund in 2050? Does the end date only mean that the slow asset reallocation stops? I assume that if my girlfriend did not collect the money in 2050 then the money would continue to collect interest? Is she under any o...

Automatic investing on Vanguard

I have a Vanguard Roth IRA and I make monthly contributions. The problem is that the process is not as automatic as I would like. I have set up automatic investments, but that money goes into an escrow account and I still have to login and buy a fund. Is there a way to make this more automatic? I on...

Re: VTSAX vs VOO

I use SWPPX in tax advantaged thru Schwab, no minimums. I got tired of those sorts of bookkeeping rules with Vanguard. I have been disappointed at how much work I have to do to buy an ETF at Vanguard. I can set the site to automatically pull money from my checking into my vanguard money market fund...

Re: VTSAX vs VOO

The minimum for VTSAX on Vanguard is $3000. After I buy the minimum could I then add ten dollars to it?

VTSAX vs VOO

What is the difference between VTSAX and VOO? I have read that ETFs are an improvement over mutual funds because ETFs have lower expense ratios, but VTSAX is a mutual and it has almost the same expense ratio as VOO. What is the difference? VTSAX Stock - Large-Cap Blend 0.04% $54.49 VOO Stock - Large...

The initial purchase must be $1000 or more. Once you have made the initial purchase you can buy as little as $1 at a time.
If one share costs 27 dollars how can I put one dollar more into this investment?

There is a vanguard Target Date Fund I want to invest in called Vanguard Target Retirement 2050 Fund Investor Shares MUTF: VFIFX I haven't bought it yet because I need to save 1000 for the minimum.
