Re: The premise of the "emergency fund" is flawed
Only on BH do we see 400+ replies debating on whether or not an emergency fund counts towards your investment allocation. I agree with Klang and others that I don't consider my EF as part of my INVESTABLE allocation at all. Ohh I'm actually 77.345634/23.634234 instead of 80/20 omg WHO CARES?

Re: Does anyone feel like you are doing investing all wrong?
Sometimes I wonder what all the meme stocks were back in 2013,2014,2015,2016,2017 ... I wonder what plays people made to blow up their accounts. I dont know because all I had at the time was my 401k that I didnt even know existed. I built it to ~85k before I even knew that I had one! Honestly, I thi...

I understand the excitement over crypto, but I dont understand why I need to sign up for coinbase, buy btc/eth, download the keys onto a thumb drive, bury the drive in the middle of the desert, tattoo the gps coordinates on the bottom of my foot, and hope that the tattoo doesnt fade and I lose my k...

I've seen enough threads on reddit about people losing their money, their job, their families, their mortgage, everything, to not buy into the hype. It's only a matter of time for most of these people. We all get lucky in different ways ... no need to chase fad stocks.

Re: Why isn't every indexer investing in small cap value index funds?
I held SCV index for about 3 years (not long, I know), but I agree with whomever said it: you have to be religious about it . Just following some of the small cap threads here made my head spin. I still believe in it to be honest; it makes sense to me. I simply just don't have the willpower and conv...

Let me know when there's a cheap, diverse index fund of crypto available in my IRA. Anybody else holding US SCV, exUS SC, and EM only in IRA? I have target date fund in 401k since it's my only decent/cheap option. I love this 5 fund portfolio, but it's annoying dealing with multiple accounts. Some days I want to just simplify, but other day I love having this little tilt.
