i would pay the mortgage off personally, or atleast refi to 10-15yr with a better rate ... but to me its alarming how little you have invested for your age (please dont take offense) .. this is another case of saving for the children before saving for ourselves .. which i dont think is a good idea ....

i would never drive a german car because of upkeep but if you are heart set on it, with a BMW i would only go precertified unless you know a good mechanic to cehck it out and find a great deal on a used one privately... too many would be issues on those cars ps - one more for the toyota only crowd a...

if you dont mind, ill piggy back off your thread with my own plan ... i in a 15 yr 4.75 rate mortgage, but being that im paying off in 3 more i dont see justification in paying to refi and couldnt find a free one .. anyways .. i was at about $120k remaining when we really began the push 2 years ago....

if you do it do it right .. wash with dish soap, clay bar it, and go from there ...

on custom paintjobs i dont wax, just detail spray ... the wax can hurt more than help

toyotas with timing win by LEAPS and bounds .. best value imho are echos and Yaris ... I happen to have a 2000 echo, never have i done anything but brakes 1 time and oil changes, 155k on it .. the wife has a 2007 yaris .. 85k on it no issues still factory brakes and all both of these can easily cloc...
