Re: Merging Health and IT

Okay thank you for the information. Health informatics might require some more traditional schooling to get into. I have a BS in stem, so would something cheap from WGU be a good fit for a MS? There are a handful of informatics courses on Coursera that look promising (Johns Hopkins has one) that are...

Okay I will keep going Python. I noticed that Amazon is slowly getting into the healthcare space with Alexa now being HIPPA compliant and with the purchase of PillPack a few years ago and other ventures on the horizon. I wonder if AWS might be a good thing to start learning as well.

I have been in this role for 5 years and am getting the itch to try something different, but still health related. I am also noticing t...

Re: E-Bike recommendations

I bike 40 miles a day round trip with a 3k foot elevation gain on the 20 mile way back from work. I have the Aventon level purchased a few months ago and have already 700 trouble free miles on it. Worth a look especially at the price point. I carry saddlebags on the rack for my toiletries and shower...

Re: Recommended physical fitness websites/books/apps?

Starting Strength by Mark Rippetoe --- the NY Times did an article on basic barbell exercises a number of years ago. This was their recommendation. Simple and it works. +1000 Rippetoe is the master and a no-BS dude. StartingStrength.com, and his books are: Starting Strength and Practical Programmin...

Re: Veterinarian Federal employment help

It helps to use the resume builder on USAJOBS (if you aren't already) and basically rewriting all the keywords in the job description, describing what you do, and what your accomplishments have been coming from the outside is hard for a federal job, unless you already are in the government, that's ...

Re: Veterinarian Federal employment help

Often federal HR folks are not fully staffed, that could explain, though not excuse, the failures to respond. You may want to consider the Public Health Service....https://www.usphs.gov/profession/veterinarian/ While you may have tried this route, the FDA has a division of Veterinary Medicine. It m...

Veterinarian Federal employment help

I'm a Veterinarian and have been on USAJobs for a few years now applying for positions, interviewing and touring facilities with no luck at job offers. Most of the time I apply to a position I'm qualified for and don't even here back. This has been going on for over 2 years now. I'm wondering if any...
