Work in Grain Transportation on the Upper Mississippi , Illinois and Ohio Rivers. Shortage of people who work on the river still. No one wants to be away from home anymore. After 31 years I don't really blame them in some ways. As far as Coronavirus the river industry is being very cautious with crew members getting back on the boats after being off on their regular days.

I'm 60 years old . I can barely remember from the Cuban missile crisis to todays Coronavirus. As each of us have to deal with this crisis in their own way that each crisis always seem like the worst and this one in some ways is different. Its when the crisis is over we look back with hindsight and think that thank God thats over with only to the next crisis in the wings.

Great article on “Courage! We have been here before”.

I turned 60 back in September 2019- I think that I still feel younger and see a younger me in the mirror. Seems I'm at a age that I looked at people who were 60 and thought that they were old. I have a blue collar job and have a few more years of doing it. Most days I feel great but some days I can feel the wear and tear of life's struggles on my body. Strange feelings. I seen a lot of changes and advancements in those 60 years.

And just when you think you and seen it all.
Now I came across a site which is a toilet paper calculator.

This is crazy. I read that there have been no new cases in Wuhan in days. A country of 1.6 BILLION people where China is now trying to help mankind with supplies and doctors. We need that fast response here. Mankind must come together. They are trying to buy time. Hopefully warmer weather slows it. Time to find a vaccine. Time to slow down the rate of spreading this virus. +1 100% There is some suspicion regarding data coming out of China (link below). Hopefully the numbers regarding Wuhan are accurate. It would make sense that the virus has run its course there. Work in Marine Transportation on the Mississippi River hauling grains from the mid-west down to the gulf for export.

Winter time is slower than when the harvest comes in the fall. South American grain export are strong now as they have had a big harvest. Tarriff's did a good jobs last year in slowing grain exports to China.

I'm not sure yet how countries closing their borders to people might effect them from importing American grains.

Concerned!

I can't tell if you are joking or not.

It's been discussed over and over on this thread.

But here goes again: Widespread and comprehensive testing, tracing and quarantine.

In addition, once they identify a new case, they push out on twitter a list of all the places that person has recently been to. Then a sanitation crew cleans up those places and people can avoid until that the clean up has happened.

We're like a fifth world country by comparison in terms of our response to this.
Thank you!
