Re: US/UK dual citizen investment advise

I'm in a similar situation (US/French citizen) and there aren't any simple answers (I posted here: https://www.bogleheads.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=291685). So far, the only solution I've identified is to bypass the regulations by buying call options on US ETFs and then immediately exercising t...

Re: Avoiding PFIC - Individual Stocks to Buy in Europe

Sorry for lack of clarity. I’m holding US ETFs in a US brokerage account. No experience with Revolut for investing but I have to say it’s my preferred way of converting to USD and transferring to my US brokerage. Minimal markup and pretty idiot-proof. Re: EU / US citizen looking for Interactive Broker ETF investment tips

Thanks for the detailed response. It's very hard to find info/advice about this, which is strange because I can't be the only one stuck in this situation. 1) seems pretty overwhelming for a newcomer like me, and 2) seems a bit shady since I have no US address and don't intend to return. Of those, 3 ...

Re: EU / US citizen looking for Interactive Broker ETF investment tips

I'm in a very similar situation as OP (American living in France), and I'm stunned at how investing is basically impossible for me. I got rejected by Vanguard, Ameritrade and Schwab, so I registered with IB. But IB won't allow me to invest in US funds or ETFs, so it seems just as useless as the othe...
