I tip an average of 20% at restaurants. If the service isn't very good, I'll give 15% at times. If the service is great, I'll tip more. I've given someone a 100% tip before.

I'd recommend North Wildwood/Wildwood. I've been going there my whole life. Lots of stuff to do, and the beach is big, clean, and free. There are also many good restaurants in the area.

Facebook will be the next Myspace in a couple of years. Maybe even the next AOL. Both of them are now insignificant after being at the top.

I have almost every video game system, and I've also played PC games. My favorite PC games ever were Command & Conquer, Command & Conquer: Red Alert, and Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun. I wasted many hours playing them online in the late 90s/2000. I LOVED those old school RTS games...
My most recent system is PS3. I love the Metal Gear series, Gran Turismo series (racing), and some of the Final Fantasy games. I also enjoy the Resident Evil series, and I really enjoyed the first two Tomb Raider games in the late 90s. Of course, there are also dozens of games I love dating back to the NES days.
For PC, I've also played games like Civilization, Warcraft 2, and World of Warcraft. Recently, I haven't really been playing any games.

Re: How much should cat tooth extraction cost?
My 14 year old cat broke a canine tooth and got an infection. The tooth needs to come out, but the vet wants to charge $650-850 . This is on top of the $250 diagnosis and routine shot update. Is this reasonable? I'm in an urban area (Seattle). The tooth removal includes full anesthesia and X-rays. I love this cat and want to do right by her but don't want to be a chump. It's already damn excessive to spend this on a pet! Maybe you can love a new cat just as much. You really love making insensitive posts about animals. We get it. You don't like pets. In another thread "tetractys" asked me to tell the story of my Dad undergoing the longest depth charging of WW II. I thought it would be more appropriate to tell that story here. Dad was Engineering officer in USS Puffer on October 9, 1943 when Puffer attacked a merchant ship in the Makassar Straits, shooting two torpedoes which damaged, but did not sink the target. Puffer maneuvered and attacked again, firing two more fish, one of which exploded prematurely, and the other was a dud. As Puffer was about to shoot again, a Jap destroyer charged in and Puffer went deep but suffered significant damage from a string of six depth charges. The destroyer was apparently able to track Puffer using sonar, or more likely, following leaking o...

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. (Strongly considering IRA).
I have no other IRA's, just 401k plan.
I'd personally go with "$490 a month starting at 65." That's a decent chunk of money that will be guaranteed.

For the majority of people, this "added value," as you say, is not worth the extra cost. It all comes down to personal preference. However, in the grand scheme of things, whatever a Mac can do, a PC can do just as good, if not better.JupiterJones wrote:Obviously, many people discount that difference as something that doesn't matter. They perceive zero value to the ability to run OS X instead of Windows.
But for other people, that key difference means the two computers are apples and oranges (so to speak). For them, Macs are not "overpriced" because they have added value. The specs are not equal, and can never be.
