what is your AA now ?? The total is about 55% stocks/45% bonds and cash including 401(k), Roth IRA, HSA, taxable investments and emergency funds. WOW, I am only -1% from all time high before the crash. My portfolio went from negative 800K from all time high to just negative 45K from all time high and up YTD but I did throw everything I got into the market in March before DOW 18K ! :beer

I have been investing for over 25 years, currently retired at 50 and never had bonds but also no debt last 20 years. Many roads lead to Rome but I like to get there early by being aggressive with 100% equities.

I made the quickest 40K gains last Friday on Sorrento Therapeutics (SRNE). Bought at $3.95 and sold half # of shares at $8 on the same day to get my principal $$ back. This was only in my play money account.

I am a landlord and my plan is to sell my 3 rentals then buy a house to rent it out to my only daughter until I die. I got tired of being a landlord after 10 years.

80% S&P 500 or total market and 20% international...……..NO BONDS until 50 or 10 years before retirement.

That’s exactly what I did 25 years ago. I Maxed out 401k, paid off mortgage after 5 years then went 100% equities since.

If you invest in Bonds, the value of your account does not go down as fast during corrections like it would if you invested in Stocks. I have 50x yearly expenses in equities, 2x in saving and I did not jump ship in 2000 or 2009 or 2020.

I would pay off the mortgage, all debts, save for 10 years of expenses in bonds/CD then the rest in equities.
