Probably the most relevant thing is that your phase-out thresholds have doubled. For example: if one of you is a higher earner and the other isn't, you both now might qualify for a Roth contribution that may have been previously phased out. Someone said it before, but the XY Planning Network only has advisors that offer a monthly retainer model. As in, you do not have to turn over any assets to be managed, and you can "subscribe" to the advice (many also do flat-fee or hourly). I'd recommend looking through their roster of advisors and...

I have to think she imagines that the higher bracket rate will somehow retroactively cause her previously earned income to be taxes at even higher rates, i.e. not knowing the difference between marginal rates and effective tax rates.
