Re: FHA MIP on a refinance? Does it drop off? Choosing between loans.

Thanks very much for the clarification, much simpler than what the loan officer was trying to explain. The 78bp fee calculation was mine based off the estimate they gave me. So, it may very well be the estimated number given was just slightly off the actual. Seems like it might be a slam dunk then w...

FHA MIP on a refinance? Does it drop off? Choosing between loans.

I'm looking for some clarification here between two loan offers I've gotten. My current loan is 116k with USDA @ 3.25%. I received a USDA offer of 2.75% with a 3.18% total APR with a lifetime PMI of .35% annually ($35 monthly) with a total loan amount of $121,500 after escrow funding at a new lender...

I do find it funny that so many people dismiss BTC. I just came across this thread so I still have quite a bit of reading to do. I wasn't sure which calculators were good online, but it looks like that one is pretty simple. USDA. 3.25% to 2.75%. Worth it?

I currently have a USDA loan at 3.25% under the old higher PMI rate. They reduced the PMI a small amount it's .35% of the loan now and was .5% I think on my current loan. I believe there is a 1% upfront fee on a USDA loan, I assume that's the case on the refinance as well but I'm waiting to hear bac...

Since your car is a FWD vehicle, you should always have newer tires in the front. Everything I have read says to have your best tires in the rear. The reason for this is traction when stopping, especially on wet pavement. If the front tires grip better than the rear, the car may go into a spin. Tha...
