Re: BCBS wont pay lab bill...

not sure what everyone else who commented on this thread said - can't focus long enough to read them all - but I would make absolutely sure the dr. and lab coded everything correctly - you may have to call the dr.'s billing person, the facility's billing person, and the lab's billing person and have...

Re: Where can I find iphone deals/discounts?

you can get one of the prepaid phones from Target or WalMart fairly cheaply - I think i saw an iPhone 6s for ~$199 at Target the other day. This was for either ATT or one of the other prepaid plans. Not the latest and greatest but a great phone. We have a couple of the iPhone SEs on ATT Prepaid and ...

Re: Help me find some high quality cargo pants.

Eddie Bauer or Land's End are great if you can find a style/material you like. They have a "lifetime" guarantee that I have used more than once. Latest time was for a pair of rip stop cargo shorts from Eddie Bauer that I had for 10 years. The zipper ripped out of them and I took them in to the store...

Re: Applying to a Federal Job

There is usually an initial screening based on how you answer a set of questions during the application process. These questions usually ask you to rate your skill or knowledge about certain topics or areas of expertise. I may be wrong but I don't think anyone even looks at your resume unless you ra...

Re: $575 to replace rear brake pads and rotors on a 2017 Subaru Forester?

It's really hard to compare between vehicles and driving styles and regions due to the variables so take comments about intervals and how long other cars lasted between brake jobs with a huge grain of salt. You are in a place that is very hard on exposed metal surfaces and cars in general so if you ...

Re: Wheel Alignment?

I'm skeptical of alignments unless there is a demonstrated problem like the other responses said. Odd or uneven tire wear when you have always rotated tires, pulling left or right on a non-rutted pavement, or steering wheel not coming back to center could all be signs of the alignment being off. My ...

use this: https://summitbrands.com/glisten/dishwa ... infectant/

available at wal mart, etc - might want to do it twice the first time if you've never used it - works great. After that use one bottle monthly. follow the directions and use the hottest cycle you can.

One would assume that, as a stay at home mom, you took a hand in running the household. This would mean scheduling, budgeting, planning travel and expenses - all things an administrative assistant does - if you used budgeting or spreadsheet software, calendaring software, etc then you have more expe...

I switched to a lightweight Patagonia backpack with a built-in padded compartment a long time ago (which has held up phenomenally) because I found even smaller laptop bags were weighing more than my ultra books and what's the use of having a thin/light laptop if your bag is weighing you down, litera...

Re: Anyone buy the Nissan Rogue over the Honda CRV???

We had a 2016 Rogue for a few years - liked it at first but then the deficiencies really started irritating us. The seats were not comfortable for average sized people - I'm 6' and average weight, my wife is 5'7" and the driver's seat bottom just was not long enough to get comfortable, and my taller...

There were only a handful available in our state at the time so I'm glad we got one when we did. I have no conce...

I'm going against commonly accepted wisdom here but here's my take. I had a 2016 Nissan Rogue SV AWD. The AWD was one of the things I liked best about the vehicle. It was super confident in ice and snow if you just let the "intelligent AWD" do it's thing. It has an electronic locking center diff which helped out in very deep snow but otherwise was not needed. If you...

Figure out which cars you are interested in and just show up at the dealer - tell the salesman you are only interested in test driving at this point and still trying to decide make/model you want. They may just get your info and hand you the keys or some will want to ride along. Either way is fine, ...

rent a uhaul for a half-day and take the stuff to the landfill - or - get a small dumpster delivered onsite - cost is probably similar to renting a uhaul and you only have to move it one more time (ie toss it into the dumpster) as opposed to loading and unloading it.
