In my opinion there are many experts, who know a lot more about investing than I do, who recommend an allocation to internationals stocks. Some recommend an allocation to international bonds.

The problem with Gold is there are a lot of investment experts that recommend a position and a lot that do not.

Gold is essentially a rock that does not provide any earnings growth or dividends.

I would avoid this asset class.

I would have invested the $2 million in Apple when the split adjusted price was 0.39 a share! That would be $410 MILLION today! Imagine living off that yield.

The holdings page started to change a few months ago. However, after clicking under balances the old webpage appeared. It appeared to be the start of the change. In my opinion the font is too large and the website should be improved.

We have mutual fund accounts with Vanguard and thus no brokerage accounts. We are in the accumulation stage so every other week we are buying. Thus we buy whatever is underweight. This keeps the investment portfolio balanced.

I have never found any errors or mistakes with Vanguard.

We write minimal checks anymore. Almost all expenses are paid with a credit card. We do not use a debit card for anything. Utilities are paid with a credit card if there are no fees. I think I could do a rep with two plates if I had to. My legs feel strong enough to do more, but my lower back feels strained at higher weights, especially with the "low bar" style in SS.
