TripAdvisor Reviews aren't great ... they might use "older" planes!
I flew across Pacific on airline that was a nightmare ... found out later that they buy their planes USED from major carriers, i.e. major carriers sell their planes after a certain # of years.

It sounds like the old boss was hired to be a "Hackett Man" i.e. brought in to clean up company that was "losing a lot of money" ... so some employees got laid off ... some stayed but with a heavier work-load - either way it's not a good deal for any of the employees ... and there's no guarantee tha...

I've had the 2019 RAV4 LE for about 6 months ... and like everything about it. Very quiet engine. Driver seat really comfortable (which was a big issue with so many of the vehicles I tried) ... great on gas. It doesn't drive like a Porsche - but that doesn't bother me because I live in a big congest...

Test drove the Honda HRV and my back starting hurting within a block - the Civic wasn't that much better. Ended up buying the RAV4 LE (bucket seats) and I can drive for hours with no problem.

The drive between Cairns and Port Douglas is one of the most beautiful and unspoilt drives in the world - driving along the coast you'll see the "crystal clear" Pacific the whole time - it's an easy not too long not much traffic drive - I've done it a few times. I heard up thru 2015 it was pretty easy for "people in the business" to alter a car's mileage - so I'd want to see stuff like mileage at smog checks, oil changes etc.

Just heard the Honda dealership that I've used for over 30 years is going out of business (after more than 50 years)! They told the employees "they''re just not making enough $ to keep the business going ... and that everyone would lost their jobs at the end of the month"!

Yes the odometer rollback is another BIG issue to watch for ... I was told by a Toyota salesman that up to the 2015 models it was very easy for dealers to mess with the odometer ... and that they did mess with them ... since then it's been much more difficult.

Just purchased 2019 RAV4 - planned on paying cash - but they offered me $1,000 off vehicle price if I would finance (7.5%) with Toyota - but there would be no prepayment penalty so I just plan on paying in full when I get the first invoice.

Going forward I'm only buying CD's from Banks ... because if for some reason I need the funds before maturity I'll only lose interest - not principal ... with brokerage CD's you can lose principal. Just bought 1 yr 2.60% CD at Union Bank.

2020 Corolla LE has just come out (dealer only had 2) so he wasn't keen on discounting them - best price he could do was $19,309 plus 10%-12% taxes/stickers for my area of California.

www.carcomplaints.com -- is showing that the CRV has had a lot of complaints -- EVERY YEAR -- going back to 2008 or before. Whereas the RAV4 has had relatively few complaints since 2008!

If it hadn't been for this thread I could have bought a new Honda CRV Turbo (with all it's problems) ... and I now I find out that even their 2.4L (Non Turbo) Engine has had similar problems! I've always bought Hondas ... but I won't be buying any more after the way Honda has handled this whole epis...
