I am up 30%+ YTD primarily due to 1)increasing contributions during the market downturn and 2) having twenty percent of my portfolio in a target volatility version of HF Excellent Adventure.

I would argue that the most aggressive one is an inverse triple-leveraged fund because it gives up the easy money of markets' tending to rise over time. So, SQQQ.

I used to approach these kinds of threads with a defense of LETFs and how they can be used safely to generate above market returns. But now I don't really care to convince anyone any more. I also work for the City. I max the 457 first due to the fact you can take withdrawals upon severance from the City. I then max out the 401k.

To answer your question, the fees are reasonable.
