I don't get why better needs to do a soft inquiry for a basic rate quote
Too invasive for me
Just go to better.com and click on view rates then click custom. You can change the loan amount too. That gives rates without logging in.

Re: Are you refinancing now?

Refinancing from a 30yr at 4.5% (just done in February) to a 20yr at 3.85% with $4800 in credits (better.com) to pay closing costs.

I had been making extra principal payments to get the 30 to 20 but this accomplished that for $350/month less.

Seems reasonable to me. In Florida I pay $1600/yr for homeowners (for a similar cost house), $2800/yr for auto and $250 for umbrella. Auto insurance is very high where I’m at, shopped around and pay 6 months up front to get it that low for 2 cars (1 8yr old and 1 3yr old Toyota)

Re: Where to find rates for no-cost refi?

If you recently closed a loan, you can go and ask the title company that did your loan for a closing cost quote. That would include all closing costs (title insurance, tax, doc fees, recording fees)minus appraisal and any lender fees. They might even offer a discount to use them again, if the lender...

Re: Nice men's jeans

I go to Nordstrom Rack and pick up Lucky’s for about $40. They last a long time and the 29 short fit me perfectly. Being 5’7” I like having the shorter inseam.. plus they are comfortable and stylish enough and have darker colors available for a dressier look.
