Repeat to yourself that things are not always what they seem.

Re: Selling a house - should it be staged or left empty?

The home we're in now was partially staged when we first saw it. Only the living room, den and kitchen had furniture. The other rooms were empty except for some green plants here and there. There was some outdoor furniture near the pool with place settings on the table. I think it helped sell the ho...

My travel plans are on hold indefinitely. I'm waiting for a vaccine, and adjusting to a new reality.

Re: Frugal quarantine habits to keep

Because of the paper product shortages, I placed a small cloth towel near the paper towel holder. Using the cloth towel whenever possible has made a huge difference in the need to purchase paper towels.

I won't buy a plane ticket until there's a proven vaccine.

Re: Did you move for better weather? Did you regret it?

About a year and a half ago, we moved from Northeast Pennsylvania to Far North Scottsdale. So far, I like it and don't regret the move. Whether it's a permanent move remains to be seen.

You would be so close to Ephesus, Turkey, I recommend you consider it. As spectacular as Athens and the Greek Islands are, Ephesus is truly remarkable.

Re: Ever ship/transport a car?

We used Reliable and liked them. Some really high-end cars were being transported along with ours in the enclosed trailer. Our car arrived a few weeks before we did, and they didn't charge us storage. They will pick up and deliver on time.

Re: How do I prevent yellow underarm stains on my white shirts?

Rub a little Dawn dishwashing liquid with baking soda into the stain before washing. If the shirts are pure white, you can use Dawn plus a little peroxide on the stain before washing.

Re: What is your hobby and how did it come to be your hobby?

I enjoy oil painting. It started with a gift of oil paints and canvas. Now, I sell my paintings online, in art galleries and other locations. I sell prints of my work, too, and have licensed some of my art. My hobby pays for itself and then some.

Re: seriously thinking about leaving S. CA but where to?

A few months ago we bought a small, full-time home in a nice, resort-like development in North Scottsdale, 85266. The scenery is beautiful, and there is plenty to do. Healthcare seems top-notch. Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport is about half an hour from our home. So far, it's easy to make friends, becaus...

Re: Where to stay in Naples, Italy and along Amalfi coast

I liked Sorrento. Stayed at the Hotel Antiche Mura. It's a charming hotel, full of antiques. You can easily walk around the town and walk to the beach.
