Re: New retiree perspective during Corona Crash

Tomorrow will be my first day of retirement and I am not worried about my portfolio. Thanks to all you Bogleheads who helped me develop a solid portfolio with an asset allocation that accurately reflects my risk tolerance. 62/38 will see me through for several years to weather the storm so I can sta...

Re: Transfering of Lincoln Investment retirement account to Vanguard

Vanguard was very helpful in transferring my funds from Lincoln into my new account. Vanguard assigned me a representative to work with me throughout and answer any questions. Lincoln paperwork was a small hassle and all funds were converted to cash and check mailed to Vanguard. Vanguard suggested t...

Re: What is happening with Vanguard site?

I was dumbfounded to see $60K gone just like that. The market price for LifeStrategy Growth Fund was down 12% according to the website, but eventually corrected. I would have liked the $40 Million though. Doesn't give you a lot of faith in their system if it can get that messed up.

I also have Vanguard Total Stock Market ETF (VTI) because I do think market capitalization produces a good result as well. When there is a market downturn I susp...

Re: Life-strategy MODERATE growth and Life-strategy GROWTH for 70/30 mix?

Considering Lifestrategy Growth (VASGX) and Balanced Index Fund (VBIAX) to get the (70/30). Uncomfortable with the amount of exUS in VASGX, but with the addition of VBIAX it is the right AA for my tastes. The fact that it auto balances will help me in a downturn. My behavior in a downturn is to cont...

Re: [Vanguard to stop accepting purchases in Leveraged or Inverse mutual funds]

Does anyone know where I can find a list of the 400 to be discontinued leveraged/inverse funds and etf(n)s? I use PIMIX and it is considered to be leveraged. Wondering if that is not going to be an offering after Jan. 22.
