Re: Low key wrist wearable

The Charge 3 is the only low profile device still available from Fitbit and should fit your needs. It's under $100. You may still be able to find an Alta, which is lower profile.

Re: Amazon Firestick Universal Remote

Harmony's with a hub will work. If you are mostly using the Firestick, you might be better off with a sideclick which offers a lot of the tv's buttons on an attachment for the FireTV remote. I know new FireTV remotes already have volume and power buttons that will control your tv.

Re: How does billpay's ACH work?

The bill pay system has agreements with the receiver to convert payments to digital that move over the ACH network. The bill pay system has the routing information that maps to the payee information you enter (address, etc).

ACH transfers do not count as direct deposit, they use a different Standard Entry Class code through the ACH Fed network.

Re: Collecting Payments through ACH from Customers.

If you have a business account with your financial institution, they should be able to enable this capability through your online banking. They keep this hidden for most users. They will likely charge for this service, but it should be a lot less than 3% of 30k. This would require you to get your cu...

Most people probably won't drink a full can of the wine, unlike beer or some other drink.
If they're drinking wine out of a can, I bet they'll drink the whole can. :sharebeer

Re: Recommendation needed: Service to convert VHS to MP4?

Sam's Club offers a VHS -> DVD service. Check with the photo center there. The DVDs that come back aren't locked down, so it's pretty easy to convert them to mp4. Costco may offer a service as well.

Re: Property tax value from pool = $63k ??

You can also talk to the appraiser without doing an official protest the next time appraisals get mailed out. That was the suggestion given when I protested my increase this year. I put in a pool and it added about 10% to the appraised value of the house. The pool should depreciate each year, unlike...

Somebody died there or since it doesn't have a real address, is just a placeholder listing probably used by the agent to list new properties.

Allow me please to run against traditional wisdom here and say that a WMC machine that is used as an appliance, not to surf the web and install random apps, will be just fine and can be used for many more years after the artificial deadline. I would not treat a family computer the same way — that w...

The storms in DFW usually don't last long. This time of year, it's usually a big band that blows through in a few hours, so don't count out any outdoor things you want to do just yet.

Security should be a concern if you're logging into financial websites, email, etc. If you're just using it to browse sites, you're fine. I had a Chromebook that did the same thing. I spent $150 to get a new one which is much faster. No regrets, and I'm as secure as I can be.

He's the expert, right? So, he's going to know what's it worth better than you. You could ask him if that's all he wants for it, but if that's the price he's offering, then take it and bring him more business.

For tequilas, always go 100% blue agave, the others are mixed with grain alcohol.

Simple, refreshing margarita:
2 parts tequila, 1 part water, 1 part fresh lime juice and add agave nectar to sweeten to your liking. Serve over ice.
