Thanks all. FYI. My state does not give a tax benefit to a 529 And there is not a limit per paycheck to go to 403b. We do not do back door roths because our MAGI is just under the limit

this is standard with both my wife's and my employer - I almost went to work with her employer a year ago - right before we found out we were having a baby. Some empployers will give you additional leave of absence, I know mine won't. I don't get the law, but the employer is doing nothing wrong.
