I'm in a similar situation myself. After maxing out my retirement accounts, and have an emergency fund, what percentage of my monthly savings should I invest in a taxable account. 100% too risky? Is 50% reasonable? No idea what other people are doing.

There will be definite devaluation of the dollar for the forseeable future. Given the low yield of bonds, I don't know if
it's worthwhile buying them. Maybe gold or bitcoin might be a better hedge against deflation.

I see a tsunami of impending devaluation of the dollar as the government pump money into the market to keep things afloat. my thinking is that usually a recession will last more several months. Its a hedge from further losses if I can get out in the early part of the recession.
Going down 50% in equity is not fun.

I've been eyeing VBTLX for diversification purposes. I see 2 concerns
1) Treasury yields keep declining as fed continues to cut rates
2) The price of VBTLX is still at relative historic highs

Essentially, I'll be overpaying for a fund that is expected to have lower yields in future

My experience is that string trimmers are just no as effective as blades.
It will also need to be cordless and hopefully something that lasts a long time.

Would appreciate some advice. My inlaws recently immigrated to the US as permanent residents. Obviously, since they have no work history in the US, they will not qualify for medicare. Given their age, I'm try to find affordable health care plans on the market. Would they qualify for ACA enrollment?

I just moved into this house, but I just realized there is a Direct TV satellite sitting on the roof of the house.

Anyone tried out these price drop apps

Anyone with experience using paribus and earny. They scan your email for receipts of online purchases, then monitor for price drops from the retailer and asks for money back if price has dropped. It’s a nice benefit; but allowing them to access your email is a bit risky.
