Re: Changing Asset Allocation for House

I've been contemplating a similar strategy but still haven't decided if it's the best approach to include it in our portfolio or not. We maintain a 85/15 portfolio and we're currently saving up cash in our brokerage for a potential down payment in a HCOL area with a tight market. However, we've alwa...

Re: Schwab acquiring TD Ameritrade

FYI I was in my TDA HSA account today and noticed that TDA is now offering a bunch of the Schwab mutual funds (S&P500, Total Market, etc.) with no transaction fees. Looks like those of us who have been wanting to use funds over ETFs finally have some better options.

Re: HSABank changing terms about account minimums?

I am also on the GEHA plan and got the same email this morning. Up until this point, I've always immediately transferred my funds over to TDA and have kept exactly $0 in my HSA Bank account with no fees. Not super excited about having to keep $1k in cash in there (cash account pays 0.05% under $5k)....

Re: You Invest by JP Morgan Chase

FYI for those that use a You Invest account as a way to store their cash reserves or emergency fund at Chase, I discovered the other day that for some reason the minimum to purchase the Vanguard Treasury MM (VUSXX) fund at Chase is only $3,000 instead of $50,000. I was able to purchase it in two acc...

Re: Chase YouInvest cost basis method

Basically it looks like whatever is bought at Chase Youinvest can get the specid cost basis by selecting the lots. Whatever gets transferred to Chase Youinvest gets transferred at Average cost basis. Overriding the cost basis lets you switch to specId I will make a test trade soon to confirm this. ...

Re: ?Admiral share availability in other brokerages?[Yes, after a few weeks they are now appearing at other brokerages.]

Just a heads up for Chase You Invest users. It looks like they added the Vanguard admiral funds as well as a bunch of Fidelity/Schwab funds this week. :happy How can you tell that they added new funds? I'm still seeing the old August 2018 PDF that lists their available mutual funds. I use the "...

Re: You Invest by JP Morgan Chase

Great, thanks! This is the info I was looking for. We’re you able to transfer the IRA online? For me it is telling me to call them to make the transfer. Yeah I was able to do an in-kind transfer from Fidelity online. It was surprisingly simple, I just filled out the online securities transfer form ...

Re: You Invest by JP Morgan Chase

Can anyone confirm that $5000 in a Youinvest IRA counts as an investment balance for the purpose of getting their checking account monthly minimum and fee waived? I moved my IRA over to Chase You Invest so that I could get the premier checking without having to hit certain requirements every month....
