I compare it to the team that got the lead during game and is trying to preserve the lead during the last few minutes of the game. They try to preserve the lead instead of adding to it.

IMO. I would add the lead as the game is not over till you are gone.

Currently

Around $50K in each:

PCI, PDI, NEOG, PSLDX and market time with TQQQ.

Rest of portfolio is approx: 10% Prime-cap, 25% VTI/SPTM/VOO, 10% DGR0, 10% Small CAP, 5% VMNVX, 10% wellesley, 15% PIMIX, 10% BND/SPAB, 10% CDs, Short term bond, and MM.

As Watty said use contact cement and make sure ventilation is good. Do not use the water based version, although it non-flammable and low odor the bond is not as good as the solvent based kind.

We have a similar profile as you except my homes are both paid for and I have not counted them as part of NW or part of my SWR figure. I would suggest you pay off homes. I did not see any mention of what you burn rate is? I personally will be spending around 2.5% and not more than 3% for at least 10...

If your are paying cash go for it, but if it were me and the boat cost is almost 10% of my retirement, I would invest the money and continue with your old boat. A new transmission and repower for you lf boat can be done for $6k to 8k.

Spray it with Glyphosphate (Roundup). When it all turns brown it willbe easier to deal with. You can also wait until fall/winter (assuming in are in an area where plants go dormant) when there are no leaves.

Buy when the kids are young you will enjoyymit more. Now that ours kids are older we use the vacation home less. When they do come home first place they want to go is vacation home.

It is not a financially wise decision but not everything is about money.
