Re: If you have a serious health problem, do you retire or?

Good question. In my megacorp your pension is set so your spouse gets 50% if you die. When you retire, then you can choose 100% to the spouse which many plan to do for longevity reasons. In this case it might be better to retire depending upon the amount of life insurance you have.

Re: Where to stay in Naples, Italy and along Amalfi coast

If you're in semi-good shape you might want to include a walk of the Amalfi Coast. We recently flew into Rome, took the train to Salerno, and then the ferry to Amalfi. Over the next few days we walked to Pontone, Ravello, Praiano, and Positano. Our luggage transfers and accommodations were organized...

Check for a pebble or an object in one of the tire’s treads, I had that happen and it drove me crazy before finding it. Costco Michelin Defender tires on my Forester are smooth and quiet.

I asked several remodeling contractor friends for their advice regarding kitchen faucets. They all said spend the money and that $200-300 dollar faucets don't cut it anymore. I rotate tires every oil change, for example, at 6,000 miles on the forester and rotate as recommended in owners manual. Start the process using the spare tire as placeholder until done. This is also a good time to check tire pressure and wheel condition and clean the back of the wheels. All done wi...

We have the Dyson V6 Motorhead from Costco. The most important thing is to clean it regularly, especially the filter even if it looks clean. The filter has to be thoroughly cleaned with water and then left to dry for 24 hours as directed, otherwise the vacuum surges. Otherwise, its been a joy to use.
