Take the time to draw a simple picture at the end of each chapter. For example, I read Frances Mayes "Bella Tuscany" last year. In the chapter where she visits Sicily I drew a picture of the trinacria. In the chapter where she visits Venice, I drew a picture of a bridge over a canal. In the chapter ...

I tried One Note and other note taking apps but they didn't work. I use a yellow legal pad for the day's to do and 3 x 5 index cards for any ideas or action items that come up throughout the day. Its very satisfying to line out a completed task. A simple book written twenty years ago, "Find it in Fi...

Keep a box for cardboard from any major appliance purchases. Wear gloves. If your vehicle has good clearance use a Fumoto oil valve with a nipple and attach a tube to a used five quart oil bottle. Then buy a Subaru Forester :). Plenty of clearance underneath and an oil filter on top of the engine th...

Good question. In my megacorp your pension is set so your spouse gets 50% if you die. When you retire, then you can choose 100% to the spouse which many plan to do for longevity reasons. In this case it might be better to retire depending upon the amount of life insurance you have.
