Re: Wiper blade replacement

Costco sells Michelin Guardian blades for $8.99. I live somewhere where it never rains, but they work fine for getting the washer fluid off the windshield. These are what I just put on both of our cars. They work great when new and it seems any wiper blade will get torn up in the snow/ice that we g...

Re: Buying a second home- what's the best order of operations?

The home that we bought had been on the market for around 6 months, so maybe not fully comparable, but we put in our offer with the contingency that we sell our house first and had no issues. We were fortunate to accept an offer on our house within a few days and were therefore able to close on the ...

Re: Toyota Sienna minivan for road trips

Our 2015 Sienna has been great for road trips. We've done several 12 hour road trips over the past several years and are getting ready to leave for another one soon for Spring Break. We do have 2 kids as well, but if you will make use of the space then I see no problem with getting it. We purchased ...

Re: What's Your Opinion on Nest Thermostats

I've had a Nest for years. While I don't get maximum use out of schedules since my wife works different hours each day (she never liked coming home to a cold house :happy ) I do enjoy being able to change the temperature from anywhere I am. Another feature I love that I haven't seen mentioned previo...

Re: Garbage Disposal: So many choices out there. How do you decide which one?

Did a replacement a couple years ago, InSinkErator Evolution Select. Slightly more $$s than the basic one, but super quiet to operate on just about anything. same here, ultraquiet. like it. Another vote for the Insinkerator Evolution. We've used it regularly for several years with no issue.

Re: Anybody have a vehicle with ventilated driver's seat?

My Infiniti has cooled seats. I just use it in the summer, but I would not purchase another vehicle without them. I find that they are very effective.

Re: brand new Sienna/Odyssey or gently used?

We bought a used 2015 Sienna with 13,000 miles just over 2 years ago. Saved a lot of money upfront and have had no issues using it as our daily family vehicle and on many 12+ hour trips.

Re: Accepting a Contingency Offer

We bought our house by using a contingency offer. Our old house hadn't even been listed for sale when we put in the offer on this new house :happy . The house we bought had been on the market for 6+ months though. We also were lucky in that we accepted an offer on our old house within 24 hours of ha...

Re: Ventilated car seats?

The cooled seats in my 10 year old Infiniti still work great. I wish my wife's car had them as we take it on road trips and I find myself missing them tremendously!
