Re: Automatic investing on Vanguard

I too had that very same issue with my Vanguard account. I figured out how to set up my automatic investment in my Roth and just like others said, I use mutual funds only in my Roth. I have the money pulled from my bank account every 2 weeks and dollar cost average into all my Vanguard funds I've ch...

Re: Why do I have 2 Vangaurd settlement funds?

So I did go back in my account (under account maintenance) and checked both by Brokerage and Roth IRA accounts to ensure I had ALL of my investments marked "reinvest". Somehow, how I don't know, ONE FUND didn't have it checked off. So I changed it. Then with the remaining funds in the Roth settlemen...

Re: Why do I have 2 Vangaurd settlement funds?

Are you buying Mutual Funds or ETFs in the Roth? I have $0 in my Roth Settlement Account with Vanguard and always have had so. I reinvest all dividends/gains and buy Mutual Funds and not ETFs so there is no money left over or generated to land in the settlement account. If money mysteriously appear...

Why do I have 2 Vangaurd settlement funds?

I seem to have TWO Vanguard settlement funds which I don't understand how the one came about under my Roth IRA Account (it wasn't there ever before). At the start of my first Jan 2020 Roth IRA contribution payment it just showed up on its own and now has odd amounts of money going towards it. For ex...

Re: What needs to be changed, Im lost?

Now it is like a mini-puzzle. Is your G fund balance ~40% of your total portfolio? If so, then taxable and Roth can be 100% stocks. If not, you can re-allocate a bit more to G fund and still leave Roth and Taxable as 100% stocks. The 3 funds in taxable are all fine. You have the 3 components of the...

Re: Large SUV

What's making you jump from a minivan to a SUV? most tend to get hooked on the usability of a van and find out an SUVv isn't quite the same. If your minivan needs still are the same then I would keep the comparison leve the same as with your Honda which leaves the Toyota Sienna and the Chrysler Paci...

What needs to be changed, Im lost?

I am 50 yrs old and max my Roth and will be doing catchup this year, so my breakdown to max out my $7000 for the year is paying $269.23 bi-weekly into 11 different Vanguard funds (im sure this is too many)? VDADX - Vanguard Dividend Appreciation Index Fund Admiral Shares VFIAX - Vanguard 500 Index F...
