Had refinanced with BOA around a year from 3.875 to 3.375 % with no fees I tried to refinance again with them but was told they do not have any better rates.

Target Fund For Major Purchases?

Hi,
Is it better to invest in Target funds for lets say 5 years eg Vanguard target 2025 for major purchases like buying a house or is it better to save aside in a money market fund, CD or savings account ?

Three fund portfolio in taxable account is a popular investment choice . Fidelity, Vanguard , Schwab all have good investment selection. you can use low cost index funds or etf's.

I currently have Schwab total market index fund(SWTSX er ratio 0.03 ) and Schwab international index fund (SWISX er ratio 0.06) in my taxable account. Thank You but is not the sectors like the tech sector which usually drives the market . Is having both total market etf and technology sector etf like FTEC a good strategy ? I was just curious if contributing more to tech sector etf would give better returns.
