I like the looks of the flycraft boats: https://www.flycraftusa.com/
Obviously it is not going to row like a kayak or canoe on flatwater. But they can be rowed, stowed easily, and give you the option of mounting a small motor on them.
Just a thought. Good luck with your search.

Southwest Rapid Rewards
I've recently moved to a place that is a good sized Southwest hub with convenient flights back to where I am originally from. Looking at potentially getting one of the Southwest Rapid Rewards cards. I would likely fly back round trip at least four times a year, maybe more. Trying to decide between t...

Credit Card for Mid 600s Credit Score
bogleheads, I have a friend whose credit score is in the mid 600s. What would be a good credit card for him to start looking at to bulk up his score? The last thing I want is for them to apply to a card and get rejected. Any experience with the secured cards? His credit history has no negative marks...

Re: BlackTux - buy your rental?!
I can go to the local large department store and get a timeless looking tuxedo for around $175. The black tux is definitely not a money saver.

Re: Recommended physical fitness websites/books/apps?
[/quote] You're going to plateau pretty fast unless you increase the load/intensity somehow. I'd recommend doing the MWF routine maybe once a week and trying to progressively improve your time. Maybe alternate pull/push Monday and Friday. There are a million ways to make progress, but you have to gi...

Re: Recommended physical fitness websites/books/apps?
In the interest of not getting hurt with barbell exercises (depending on your strength/experience level) I would recommend the following routine. If you can do these bodyweight exercises in high volume and good form you will have some strength. There are ways to do pullups assisted if you cannot do ...

Total stock market and let it ride. If any of them has earned income can't go wrong with a roth either.

Re: Yellowstone guidance
As others have said you really need to get up early to see the good wildlife and not be bogged down in crowds. If you are coming from the east coast it shouldn't be an issue (at least it isn't for me because my body stays stuck on east coast time!) I would take your days in Yellowstone and wake up e...

I have always wanted to teach personal finance to people when I take that step. And also work at the local fishing tackle store!

Re: Decent hiking/trekking clothing?
Merino wool socks. Depending on your age etc, I would wear low top trail running shoes. Take your time hiking. Much easier to hike in these than Vasque high tops but it depends on personal preference. For pants I usually hike in zip off columbia pants. Something like the columbia silver ridge. Make ...

Re: Best Financial Advice to Give - Thoughts?
I would suggest choosing a Roth 401k if the company allows it. Switch to a traditional later in life when income will likely be higher. My goal is to put as much money in possible in Roth accounts while I am young. Automate everything possible. Setup a savings account not linked to a checking accoun...
