Re: What is a reasonable attorney fee for establishing a will/trust?

In 2018 I paid $3,500 for revocable trust documents. I think my situation is fairly simple (single, no children, assets going to parents or siblings). DC area, mid-sized legal firm. Think the fee was a bit on the high side but I felt the attorney knew his stuff and spent a good amount of time answer...

Re: Men's No-Cotton Travel Pants Suggestions? Other Tips from experienced world travellers?

¡Kamusta! Under "other tips", if you plan on "world" travel then I suggest you check into the Global Entry registry in addition to PreCheck (GE actually includes PreCheck and doesn't cost much more than PC). This is like "PreCheck" for passing through US Customs and Im...

(Harajuku on Sunday afternoon is also ...

Re: Apple - macOS Mojave

I wait a few months after the new release for some remaining bugs to be fixed by the .1 or .2 releases, because I don't have a pressing need to use the new features. The older operating system can still be kept up-to-date for security patches by Apple. Was thankful for holding off a few years ago wh...

Re: Vanguard is requiring cell phone security codes - problem for international travel

"Google Voice" will run as an app on your smart phone. For texts, it will use your data connectivity so there is no need to forward to your international number. You just open the "google voice" app and will see the text message therein. (Presumably you would also leave alerts t...
