I have heard it stopped working on the Amex Platinum about eight months ago, but I don't know if that's unique to Amex or applies to cards issued by other banks that have similar travel credits. Yes,...

Does anyone share any similar experiences? Did selling at terrible loss pay off in the end?

Re: You Invest by JP Morgan Chase

Sorry, if this was already answered. I have searched the forum and couldn’t find it. I have opened Chase Sapphire checking ($1000 promotion) and funded. I also opened Chase You Invest account. If I move the funds from Sapphire checking to You Invest, does the promotion is still going to be valid? I...

Re: Receiving Bank Wire Transfer Questions

There are no other intermediary fees with BofA.. sorry can't help you with the other two in that regard. BofA is by far easiest of the three you mentioned since it's "direct to your account" vs all this for further credit stuff. I don't pay any fees anyways as part of the Preferred rewards program..

Re: Where would you go for financial guidance if you win the Megamillions?

15+ years ago my coworker won large (>100MM)... didn't change the name... probably no one really knows (nor still remembers) they won.. this country moves on quick... (they did not even try to conceal it by claiming anonymously).. seems to have worked out for them but they were smart and down to ear...

Re: Aimloan.com for a refinance?

used them about 8 years ago.. was a good experience.. interestingly, they kept my loan (didn't resell to big guys).. doesn't make much difference but it was "unusual" I guess.

I am guessing you're thinking of VBIRX...

Re: Portfolio Review & LARGE Tax Loss Harvesting Question

I think you will find that those institutional premium funds have a minimum purchase of $5 million or $100 million or whatever. You might find that in a 401k, but not in an IRA unless you are very very rich. :D For your IRAs, you need to get the tickers for the Premium share class of the same funds...

Re: Joint Checking Account - Fidelity CMA vs. Schwab?

Not sure what you did but I just initiated the link between Ally and Fidelity CMA and it took "Checking" ... Also I was able to link it up with Schwab without any troubles (trial deposits showed up the next day). Let's see if Ally's trial deposits go through... You are pasting in account number as s...
