For what its worth, J.D. Power is paid by auto manufacturers so I would not expect them to be objective.

I think someone mentioned, get a mesh router with a dedicated backhaul, like the Netgear Orbi, that mitigates the need to wire each router.

Re: Is Hyundai the value sweet spot?

Hyundai, and Kia in particular, have terrible resale value. Total cost of ownership can be equal to or more than an equivalent Toyota or Honda with that factored in. I suspect this will change over the next decade as their quality gains more recognition, but right now a used Kia is pretty much wort...

Re: Describe doing new car purchase paperwork when you collect the car

As others stated, the OTD price you agreed to is your total price. Since they know you are not a sucker it is my experience that the closing on the car should be very quick. One tip I would give is to make sure you talk to the sales manager and they agreed to the OTD price. For my car, I paid with p...

Ive always stuck To hawaii or atlantis in the bahamas, wife would suggest a resort in mexico, am i just to paranoid to want to take the kids and family down there? Is it safe? Barcelo has a huge resort in Rivera Maya Mexico with tons for kids to do however they do nickle and dime you a bit depending on the package you get. The place is fantastic though.

Re: What is the best all-inclusive resort you have ever visited?

Since you mention having a nice beach one bit of research you need to do is for seaweed. Many resorts in Mexico and the Carribean are plagued by sargassum seaweed, in some areas of Cancun the seaweed is so thick it makes going in the water unenjoyable and the seaweed is very smelly. IMO, Mexico has ...

Re: Any good reason to get a smartwatch?

For the Google Home/ Alexa, I think the biggest benefit for me is home automation. So for example, I come downstairs in the morning and with a simple 'Good Morning' my lights turn on, TV turns on and I get the current weather outside, lot of possibilities. This set up entails installing smart switch...

Been to many Caribbean AI's, Mexico seems to offer the best value, good food, drinks and facilities. The two best regions are Playa del Carmen and Puerto Morelos on Trip Advisor...Jamaica specifically Negril has the nicest beach I have been to in the Caribbean.

I have a 2018 Kia Optima SX, its a great car, fun to drive, handles really well and its dirt cheap compared to the other cars mentioned..I paid $27,400 OTD..since you plan to own for a while you negate one of Kia's flaws which is resale value.

For me, CR is just one resource when I make a large purchase and the articles (buying guides) they write seem more valuable than the ratings. I use JFK most of the times I fly and live in Jersey, The long term parking at JFK is about $126 a week, they do offer coupons from time to time, I have paid under $100 per week. Tolls are a little high but much cheaper with Ezpass, the Verrazao is I think $12 with ezpass or $17 without, and the Out...
