Re: Hi Def Audio listening

I would recommend Sonos and use Tidal or Spotify. Deezer is another hi def service. Much easier to use than a receiver based setup. Also you can add rooms. Setup is easy and quality much higher than Amazon Echo. Worldwide radio is free. Works from an app on your phone laptop or tablet. The world of ...

Re: $2k repairs on $12K car

If it’s a good shop do it. If you don’t replace fluids now you will still need to in the future. Replacing a battery yourself can really suck. Worst is if you put off replacing the battery and it dies when you need the car.

Re: Streaming News 12-Long Island via Apple TV Device

You should be able to mirror from your iPhone or iPad or MacBook to the Apple TV through AirPlay.

Re: Healthy fast food

Why is there this tendency to think of fast food as "bad for you"? At the end of the day, a burger is ground beef, bread, and some veggies and sauce. French fries are potatoes fried in vegetable oils. Most would agree that none of these food items are inherently bad. I think the problem is just tha...

Re: Healthy fast food

Fast food restaurants don’t serve healthy food. They lie to you. Look up what McDonalds and IHOP actually serve you for “scrambled eggs.” for example. It’s tricky but there are small restaurants that actually fry eggs and have bacon and coffee and sometime fruit. BBQ places avoid sugary sauces, at p...

Re: How to pay electrician

If the work is complete and satisfactory pay the man. Next time you hire a guy for a small job pay time and materials if you’re worried about it that much.

Re: Any audiophiles on this forum?

Audio guy. I’ve been in the business for years and also play some music. I prefer to spend money on instruments so I have a “budget” music system of Vandersteen IIc, NAD integrated amp, Rotel CD and Sonos Connect. The gear is old and cost little but it replaced a B&W 802, Levinson, Conrad Johnson se...

Re: Receiver for klipsch bookcase speakers

A stereo receiver will not work with this setup. If you have Apple TV you have 2 options 1. Apple TV to AV receiver through HDMI to TV HDMI 2 Apple TV to TV HDMI out TV Opical Digital Out to AV receiver or any receiver with Optical Digital input. Analog will not work. There are no 3.5mm or Digital o...

Re: Receiver for klipsch bookcase speakers

I’m sure folks have good intentions but you can’t connect an Apple TV with anything but HDMi. Bluetooth is not required with an iPhone and Apple TV.

Re: Receiver for klipsch bookcase speakers

I have done this many times. If you are connecting a 4th gen Apple TV you will need an HDMI connection. Apple TV > AV receiver like Denon, Onkyo, or Yamaha. The AV receiver connects HDMI to your TV. Speakers connect to the AV receiver. The iPhone will connect wirelessly to your Apple TV using Apple ...

Re: Guitar Players -CAGED system

Greetings. For the caged system or regular guitar playing there is not usually barreling of the G chord or the D chord. The D chord is basically a partial barred C fingering looking at the top three strings. You could do a partial G fingered voicing in the high strings by barre on the D, G and finge...
