Re: Help with 111K IRA Vanguard Portfolio
Thx a lot! I plan to keep the rental property for another couple of years before I decide whether to sell or keep it for long term.
One more unrelated question - Given that I have a 7/1 ARM which will convert to market rate after 6 yrs.
Should I start paying off the 7/1 ARM by making additional payments, starting now?
Or should I invest the extra money now and grow that pool, and try to pay off around the 6th year?
This is assuming I keep the rental property.

Help with 111K IRA Vanguard Portfolio
Hello Guys, I am a newcomer to this forum. I just rolled over an old 401K to Vanguard IRA, and now I am trying to do asset allocation. This is what I have in mind. Vanguard Target Retirement 2045 Fund (VTIVX) 80% Vanguard U.S. Growth Fund Investor Shares (VWUSX) 5% Vanguard Mid-Cap Growth Fund (VMGRX) 5% Vanguard Explorer Fund Investor Shares (VEXPX) 5% Vanguard International Growth Fund Investor Shares (VWIGX) 5% The basic idea is to allocate 80% to target date fund (PASSIVE/INDEX) and forget. I have tried to allocate the remaining 20% in high growth funds (ACTIVE) across: Large CAP/med CAP/small CAP/international. The weighted Expense Ratio is coming to 0.20% for 111K. Looking for comments/critique/suggestions. EDIT: Thx a lot for pointin...
