It's not really 5 years. In other words, you don't have to wait 12/31/2000-12/31/2005 before you can take out your money. 12/31/2000-01/01/2004 is a five-year period according to the IRS (the year establish/converted and the year withdrawn count as a full year in the eyes of the IRS).

Before I transferred my Solo 401(k) to Vanguard, I tried investing in the ZERO funds at Fidelity. Unfortunately, these funds are not available to Solo 401(k) clients and likely won't be in the near future according to one of their small business retirement specialists.

I have a high-deductible ($10,000) plan. You are correct in GoodRx being cheaper than most insurance discounts. I order most of my prescriptions from ExpressScripts as it's cheaper with the 90-day supply, but there are a few that are cheaper getting a 90-day supply locally with the GoodRx discount.

VFWAX is also an option (All-world ex-US FTSE Index). It has 22% EM, 42% Europe, 29% Pacific, 9% North America. Compare that to VTIAX, which has the same except 6.7% North America. Both have ER's of 0.11%.

I was reading about heat detectors. Maybe that is what is installed in the garage, but it looks like a standard smoke detector like the rest of the house.

I wish I could've found one that had a 10-year battery! I think some states require them to have 10-year batteries.

You can use your business/sole proprietor EIN.

Fidelity told me the plan needed its own EIN when I fill out my 5500EZ, but if you try to register on the IRS website, it will tell you that you can use your business EIN as a sole proprietor.

I think his issue was the doc documented things in the exam that weren't examined. An exam that wasn't performed as documented caused upcoding of the chart by the coders.

This is why insurance companies and CMS audit physicians. Report it to your insurer. As I said previously, probably can't have anything done to your bill but they can track-and-trend or use secret shoppers to see if the physician is upcoding.

As an emergency physician, there is little you can do to remedy your situation. However, if you complain to your insurance company, they can do a track-and-trend and send in secret shoppers to see if they catch him documenting things he did not do.

You probably already have a large exposure to AAPL if you hold something like VTSAX or a retirement fund. I think I read that the investor total stock index (VTSMX) had 3.3% of its portfolio invested in AAPL. VFINX had 4.2% invested in AAPL.
