Clean your dryer vent. In addition to the dryer vent, make sure to clean out under/in the non-drum portion of the dryer chamber ... lint can collect near the heat source and catch on fire... at least this is true for older natural gas dryers (probably due to drawing dusty air in for combustion air).

Not Roth related, but if you are retiring pre-Medicare age and counting on ACA marketplace insurance (perhaps you are COBRA-ing it in year 1), do consider the ACA premium tax credit MAGI income rules and levels, particularly re: LT cap gains and total family size and income.

Awesome - thanks. Fortunately the one ACA provider in our new county/state is BC/BS, so PPO under that for our student sons might be the best option.

I am not sure whether you can select your own amount for replacement cost (RC). I am not sure about lowering the RC per erictiger12's experience, but I was easily able to raise it with Liberty Mutual ... they had low-balled RC significantly (by 50%) so even their 20% buffer would not have covered.....
