Re: Portfolio Help Needed: Thanks

You say you're mot sure what asset allocation you should have; the AA of that 2050 fund your using is: stocks - 84 bonds - 9 other - 7 Does that sound good to you? It seems you've read some of the Wiki because you crafted a good portfolio help post; I think there is also a post on deciding your asse...

Re: Should we sell our rental portfolio?

I see nothing wrong in owning rental property, even on the other side of the country. It's a nice way to make extra cashflow. I've owned a couple rentals, but then mentally I was done so I sold them off. It sounds like you're done mentally as well. So I'd sell them. These are not single family homes...

I appreciate your help. The cash in my brokerage account is from the sale of the rental house in August. It actually sat in Prime Money Market until December when I moved it all into VFORX for a better return while I pondered what to do. So capital gains shouldn't be too much to handle. Just to make...

I planted around 60 tomatoes and bell pepper seeds in starter pots in June.
Heavy rains in the summer drowned most everything except one pepper plant.
It has one pepper hanging on, maybe still growing? Not sure when to pick it...
It never got that big.
One day I'll get good at this....

And what info does the IRS have on file?
Or are you saying they have records of income reported but you have no proof of expenses/ deductions?
Bank statements, past records from any suppliers, who else did you have relations with?
Why are they trying to go back 8 years?

I regret paying off 4 out of 5, but I don’t regret owning these houses.
But now that you paid them off, that just means you can put mortgages on them again and invest the money somewhere. :sharebeer

I had 2 properties for long term cash flow to support my wife if I passed. Was looking at a few more so she'd have a stable income. Scared her to death. It was rational to me because I worked for other owners fixing their rentals and I saw how well they were doing at their full time jobs. I'm out of...

You don't hand the server your phone or watch or a card they can't swipe.

marble tiles Marble is completely different from porcelain for doing this. The answer is maybe. If the edge of the tile is nearly square with just a small angled edge like you would find on a marble tile then you may not notice it. That would usually mean a higher quality tile.
