OP I am about the same age as you. I have the same fund as you in my Roth IRA and a similar one in my 401k as well. I chose to set it and forget it... life is short plus I got family and friends to go be with. :sharebeer :sharebeer

My pension is through a multiemployer pension plan. Company contributes x hours a year at x amount per hour. Its about 20% percent of gross income. Me 34 wife is 22
My 401k 18k
Wife 401k 0
My roth is 3500
Wife roth is 2000
We are going to start maxing both 401k and roths from this point.
Cash about 6 months of monthly expenses.

Before I knew anything about investing. I bought an index Universa Life insurance policy when I was single few years ago. I had it for a year. My brother still has his. :oops:

At the moment I am just curious if in the future the cost of fund will go down to say what you pay for VTSAX + VTIAX?

I am package car driver for UPS and Im a boglehead. Married and in my mid 30s. Been at UPS since I was in my teens. My pay and benifits are good. But I didnt start saving until I was 30. But because of the community on here I have learned the saving and investing philosophy. We live below our means....
