Quantify “growth”.

Plenty of data available showing that the US has merely pushed off/delayed the inevitable; stagnation thanks largely in part to accommodating policies and a select, high-flying equity sectors.

America is not immune to the same issues being dealt around other areas of the world...

Buffett-Berkshire taking a position in Amazon signals a major red flag to me. It tells me Buffett and his team can’t find traditional value bargains so they were required to style drift and buy a growth stock with a PE of ~95.

Ally 12 month CD is currently paying 2.75%. Could reassess rates after the term and roll into another 12 month.

Various Vanguard money markets paying 2.35% or more after expenses.

A few points on VWELX:

* The longtime fund manager, John Keogh, is retiring June 2019. Could be a nothing-burger
* Wellington fund has seen some hefty capital gains distributions the last year or two due to several factors. Best to put this one in tax-advantage accounts imo

what disadvantages are there to switching from capital one at 2.0% to VMMXX for my emergency fund? Takes more time to transfer funds back to a bank and use them. CO360 can move between Capital One accounts instantly. No FDIC insurance (not a big deal IMO). I’m slowly moving more funds to Vanguard f...
