Re: new VG dashboard

I just logged in and noticed the "new" layout. I really like it and hope they keep it.

Re: Volunteer suggestions

I like "fixing things" (retired engineer). I volunteer at my church as maintenance superintendent -- it is basically an unpaid part-time job. I retired a week before Hurricane Florence last September and that provided me ample opportunity for recovery/re-build of flooded houses in my area through ch...

Re: MEMORIAL DAY

Indeed this is the day to remember those fallen heroes. I had the pleasure to attend a Memorial Day parade on Saturday in Myrtle Beach. This was the first one I've had opportunity to attend since I was a kid in the 60's. It was well organized, but sadly attendance was poor (even though the veteran g...

Re: Home Brewing

I've been homebrewing for 40 years. The one aspect I enjoy is the fellowship with other homebrewers. I live in a small town, yet we have a couple of dozen folks in our local homebrew club. It's a diverse group, yet we share this one thing in common. We can spend endless hours talking about and enjoy...

Re: What is your annual cost for health insurance?

I just retired from Megacorp at 62 and will continue medical insurance for my wife and me through COBRA. Annual premium for this HSA medical plan is $17,100 ($3000 deductible with $7,000 max out-of-pocket (family)). Includes great prescription drug coverage. We can get a credit of $3,360/yr on the p...
