Slow cooked a meal instead of eating out. Will get 8+ delicious meals for the price of 2 at a restaurant

I've signed up for AAA when I discovered I needed them and it worked out great. They also still offer discounts on hotels and trip planning services which makes the cost worth it for anyone who travels more than once a year

Schwab Bank is what we use. As said, ATM fees are reimbursed and no foreign fees. Easy to transfer into Schwab accounts as well. Hard to deposit cash if you need to do that, though

In addition to some of the other responses, we had good luck with snap peas. They didn't take a lot of space and provided a nice flavor.

Legoland in Southern California is a little isolated but is a fun place. Lots of little bonuses in the hotel and the park itself that add on to the excitement
