I’m not crazy about cash as a wedding present, especially for a couple who appears to be well off. They’re going to spend your $100 and forget about it. As others have said, something that they might use and enjoy seems better.

Chrome books are meant to be almost disposable. You can get a new one on Amazon for $150. If you don’t want to do that running it on Ethernet at home is pretty safe, and I wouldn’t lose sleep over that.

I also agree about Costco being great for tires. They also rotate for free every 10k miles

Only thing I would do is ask the Costco tech if you really need new tires. The Audi dealer always tells me I need new tires well before I really do.

Agree with the others that it is very unlikely to not get a car at a major US rental agency

Other point is that I don’t know if holidays are busy times for rental cars. Depending on where you are going, that may be the slow time. Business travelers make up most of the rental car business

Agree with using the victory traps with peanut butter. I like to put them on a piece of newspaper so that when it catches a mouse I just pick up the paper. I also keep putting out traps until I don’t catch any more mice
