Re: BP PLC Dividend Vanguard Brokerage Account

DBR, thanks for the thought, but why would some (Iowaboy46) Vanguard brokerage account holders receive the BP dividend and some not if the dividend wasn't on Vanguard's books. Dividends that were payable on Friday (3/30/18), e.g., BAC, were posted by Vanguard on Friday despite the market holiday on ...

Re: BP PLC Dividend Vanguard Brokerage Account

Iowaboy 46, thank you for your response. Frankly, it was hard for me to believe the response I received from Vanguard that the dividend payment from BP PLC was not received and therefore no Vanguard brokerage account holder received the dividend. I had spoken with the BP ADR sponsoring bank, JPMorga...

BP PLC Dividend Vanguard Brokerage Account

British Petroleum (BP-ADRs) paid a dividend on Thursday 3/29/2018, which should have posted in the Vanguard brokerage account on Friday (market holiday on Friday doesn't matter if settlement date was 3/29/18). I was wondering if any of you received the BP dividend in your brokerage account, as I was...

Re: Dividends on Brokerage Account Settlement Funds

Updating my previous post of earlier this morning, dividends on brokerage account settlement fund balances finally posted/credited a few hours later than dividends on mutual funds. Common stock dividends paid on 3/29/18 still have not been credited to Vanguard brokerage account settlement funds.

Dividends on Brokerage Account Settlement Funds

Anyone know why the month-end dividends on brokerage account settlement funds did not get posted on Vanguard's website this morning, March 30, 2018? Same question with respect to common stock holding dividends, which were paid on March 29, not being posted?

Re: Vanguard site is crashed now?

Inability to login was not the only problem as even if you were logged in, whatever you were trying to do the subsequent page wouldn't load.

Re: Vanguard site is crashed now?

When the market goes down some more, Vanguard will be bragging about how their inadequate computer system saved you money.

Re: Vanguard site is crashed now?

What a joke Vanguard is. Can't even afford a computer system that works. I don't know about any of you but I have seen a continuous downgrade of caring about clients starting with Jack Brennan and then accelerating under Bill McNabb. Assets under management is all Vanguard cares about. Maybe Vanguar...

Fair Market Value Of IRA Containing Short Options Contracts

Can anyone explain why Vanguard does not reduce the 12/31/XXXX fair market value (FMV) of a traditional IRA containing short option contracts by the amount which is required to "buy to close" the options contracts? While the annual end-of-year account statement reduces the FMV of the IRA by the "buy...
