I don't know what qualifies as "heat stroke" season. Having said that, these are the yearly highs in Seattle:

Max (°F) - Date
95 - July 31, 2022
108 - June 28, 2021
98 - August 16, 2020

Re: Investing in Japan from 1991 to Today

The better question is if you live in a high inflation country, why would you invest in a deflationary country.

Or, if you're a Japanese person buying $ denominated assets at 130 to the yen and then the dollar goes to 110 yen, you just lost 15%.

People thought 60-40 was "safe" until the Fed started jacking up rates and bonds tanked.

People thought Vanguard Target Date funds were great until they unleashed a tax bomb.

Plausible deniability is valuable.

If you signed up for Premium on the laptop, the Premium status is tied to whatever Google account you used when you signed up. It sounds like you are trying to log in to Premium using your Apple ID on your iPhone. That will not work. Your Google account is separate from your Apple account. Sign in to your Google account on the YouTube app on your iPhone, that might work.

Don't know anything about IBKR, but seems like it would be easy enough to move to Fidelity. FDIC sweep doesn't pay so well, though, 2.32% isn't near as good as the 4.52% money market fund at the other brokerage firm. Wondering if that's worth the loss as far as diversifying.
The point of the FDIC sweep isn't to get more yield, it is to increase your coverage above the traditional $250k limit.
Per Fidelity: Assuming all the banks have available capacity, a customer could have up to $5 million of uninvested cash covered by FDIC insurance.
