Re: What can I expect from new golf clubs
If your clubs are 20+ years old and you have not changed the grips , that would be a good upgrade. What you have might be good if your shafts match your swing speed. You can tell if you have trouble getting the ball air born. Work on that short game.

Re: Golf club membership - should I?
Golf is all about the "game" and by that I mean who you play with. Some of the best times of my life were spent at a private club with 20 or so very good golfers. We played every week end and traveled to tournaments together over the years. If you don't have a "game" you won't en...

Re: Feedback on Empire Today for Vinyl Plank Flooring
Look for a product comparable to Smart Core Pro at Lowes. If DIY having the pad attached is a plus. What's important is the waterproof solid polymer core. Don't put a pad under a product that has pad attached. There's no value in that and it can cause fatigue at the joints in heavy traffic areas. Ha...

"I buy German made tools online for quality tools. The brands I've tried are all great quality.
For tools I'm not particular about, Harbor Freight is surprisingly decent and cheap."
+1 The Icon brand is good quality. I also favor Gearwrench when I can find them on sale.

Re: Vacuum recommendations for Nylon 6.6 carpet
Any "manufacturer recommendation" should be evaluated with a big pile of salt. Most of the time, this is not based on any analysis of the best equipment for the purpose, but on a marketing agreement between the two companies, i.e. vacuum company pays carpet company $X a year to be "re...

Re: Vacuum recommendations for Nylon 6.6 carpet
6.6 is no different than other fiber materials. The "soft" comes from the denier or "fineness" of the fiber. Dyson is know to be harsh. If your carpet is very thick an upright may give you trouble. I like the Oreck products, but Hoover etc make good products. Focus on the filter ...

I would not forecast where my child wants to go to college if at all. Save the money and let the child earn their way to the college of their choice within your budget. Two many variables to make that bet on both the school and the child.

I would follow the agreement to repay the bonus. It seems a strange agreement to me that a company would prepay for employment. In my world we would put money in a "bank" that would vest and pay out over time.

I would go with a Solid Polymer Core (SPC) vinyl product with a pad underneath, not attached. Laminate has its drawbacks, moisture and sound. Wood is great, but cost and moisture can be an issue. A solid core product with a vinyl top is the closest to wood and moisture is a non issue. Look for "...
