I inherited an IRA this year, decedent was 62 at death. I don't have to take RMD until next year, right?

A common solution is a trust that allows beneficiaries to fire trustees, but not appoint the replacement (Trust Protector does this). This can create other issues, however.

Way too much.

Spend close to $10k a year on cleaning and lawn care.

I am beneficiary of a trust with a corporate trustee (bank) that, at my direction, uses low cost index funds. They do it because the trust allows me to fire them.

Who is the trustee? Likely worth consulting an attorney, but my understanding is that while trustees owe fiduciary duties, financial advisors do not, unless there is a contractual agreement designating the duty.
