Re: Men's Cologne

Whatever you and your partner both like? seriously though, here's two safe bets -
- YSL La Nuit
- Burberry London

a google or youtube search for "most popular mens cologne" or something similar would give you more safe bets to consider.

Re: Multiple Offer situation/should we pull our offer?

It's a sellers market and they can do anything they want right now.

With that said, I would personally pull my offer without knowing more details from the seller.

Re: Still using a 5 year old iphone 5. Who's with me? No new phones!!!

I'm still using a 5 year old iphone 5. I see no need to upgrade! Just put on a battery case from Amazon that allows me to use the phone all day without recharging. Who's with me? No new phones!!! iPhone 5 is end of life and does not receive security updates. Malicious ads could be stealing your per...

Re: Ford Fusion under Safety Recall for 2 Years - Ford Can't Fix - help

Making the car worthless - who would buy this - even a dealer would not take it. I think you're overreacting a bit on this point. Like almost every car built those years, my last Subaru had the same air bag recall (unfixed). I traded the car in when I bought a Prius 2 years ago. The airbag recall n...

Re: How to hit full 401k contribution limit of $55,000?

This way to get close to the $55k or $60k total limit is to have MANDATORY CONTRIBUTIONS to start with, along with a high "match". But most employers seem loathe to REQUIRE all employees to put 5% of salary into their 401k from day one. The $18K amount is for Elective Deferrals beyond any mandatory...

Re: How to hit full 401k contribution limit of $55,000?

I'll be maxing out my 401k and my employer match will only give me a few thousand more. That leaves me more than $30,000 short of the $55,000 employee/employer contribution limit. How do people hit that limit? My employer isn't going to change the matching rate, so are employers allowed to make an ...

Re: Keurig died...what now?

The Keurig cups are incredibly expensive when you aggregate them out over cost per pound of coffee. There is a convenience factor, sure, but you'll have to ask yourself it makes sense to pay the extra for it. I went in for the Technivorm Moccamaster (refurb to save on cost) and a Breville Grinder (...

Re: Keurig died...what now?

This sounds kind of sad, but I expect my Keurig to die every 1-2 years with our heavy use. As expected it died last month and I purchased a new one. This time with a 3 year warranty from Amazon (only $2.89). When it dies in the next 2 years, I will replace with my claim and repeat. If it makes 3 ye...

Re: Let's talk about your FI # and family income [Financial Independence]

Nah, it was more of wishful thinking. I'd be willing to go earlier. Not expecting to make a jump from 3.5 to 10 in one year. More likely closer to $4M+ and just pull the plug despite not getting to $10M. This makes sense. On the flip side, instead of retiring early, have you considered working unti...

what's the frequency of the seattle area meetups? Is this thread the best way to keep up to date or is there a different communication channel off the board?

Current Situation married, 3 kids, 20 year career, now exec mgmnt annual W2 income - six figures annual expenses - 28% of income net worth including property - 5.5x annual income.10x annual expenses. Our target FI number is $10M. Yeah, I know, that's high, but that's the target. The likely number t...

Re: Help me pick a fund for my HSA in California

Do you plan to use your HSA for medical expenses before age 65? If you plan to not touch your HSA until age 65, like I do, then just plunk the money in the lowest cost diversified fund you can find. My provider offers an insane 500+ random overlapping funds to choose from; but very few with low cost...

About 12-14 years per car. I buy new, and keep the car until it becomes unreliable or the repairs cost more than the car's KBB value.

Re: WiFi [extender]

extenders add latency to your network; I would avoid them if at all possible. Have you checked out the latest router reviews on smallnetbuilder? Replacing my old Apple wifi router with a new Synology wifi router resolved all my range issues.
